Surrender is key in this Solar Eclipse in Virgo, Sept 13, 2015

Hi everyone
we are half way through one of the most dramatic months—astrologically speaking—of the year and it’s not over yet. So some of the events of the month:

on the 13th is a Solar Eclipse in 20 degrees of Virgo, opposite Chiron
Jupiter opposes Neptune on the 17th—8 degrees of Virgo/Pisces
Mercury turns retrograde in Libra on the 18th until Oct 10th.
Saturn enters Sagittarius, also on the 18th, where it remains until December 2017
Venus completed journey through Leo and turned direct on the 6th
A Lunar eclipse on the 28th coincides with a Super Moon

But before I sagely explain what it all means, let me back-track a bit. Last month I suggested “..we will discover what makes us special AND/OR more importantly, what’s the painful belief and wounding that stops us from feeling special.”

So if you haven’t already discovered your beliefs, it would be a good exercise to scan through the events of the month—look for what made you feel good about yourself and the persistent emotional sore spots, the little incidents which almost in passing show you why you feel invisible, why you feel chronic anxiety, or insecure. Any encounters with family, especially parents and siblings, very frequently bring up your earliest wounds.

Also it could come up with friends, colleagues, bosses who unconsciously remind you of the troublesome member of your family.

Or you could see these beliefs via relationships where you allow yourself to be demeaned and feel desperately helpless.

Or it could be successes at jobs or say a promotion or new responsibility which would place you in a leadership role and which instead of feeling exciting, generates stress and anxiety.

It would be very helpful for you to write down the Belief that could’ve thus formed and lodged itself in your psyche and find a way to release it. Or of course find yourself a good therapist of some sort.

Ok so this Solar Eclipse in Virgo opposite Chiron will bring up these old wounds in a big way. More so, if this configuration touches anything closely in your chart.

By and large, all Virgo and Pisces sun signs, or all those with these signs on angles will be affected but if you have anything between 18-22 degrees of these two signs or sagittarius and gemini, there are possibilities of life/character changing events this month.

Even if the challenge is not very obvious on the outside, inwardly it may force you to discard old ways of thinking and behaving and take new actions which drag you out of your comfort zone.

Although much is always said about Chiron’s woundedness, I like to now focus on how powerful and phenomenal he was as a teacher and healer. I keep remembering Rumi’s words “the wound is the place where the light enters you”—so if you are going to be hurt anyway, if you are hurt anyway, and if you can allow some self-compassion and tenderness and wisdom to enter that sore spot, the process can help you grow into someone who can help others heal.

This talent then could then add some meaning to your pain, making it then a necessary part of your learning and initiation especially if you want to help others heal in any way.

Staying stuck in that pain is what makes it toxic and gets increasingly harder to heal.

Also Chiron so prominent at this time can mean a healer or tutor or even a friend or acquaintance can help you heal, suddenly and most unexpectedly. But the key is to have humility, to trust, to surrender a little.

If you are in the healing profession, Chiron could enter your life as a teacher, as new learning, as new ways for you to grow.

In other major news, Jupiter in very realistic, practical, analytical Virgo opposes an idealistic, dreamy Neptune and asks you to choose. If you can find a balance you could have the best of both worlds. Both Jupiter and Neptune are also about spirit and spirituality and this would be a good time to go on “pilgrimages” literal or in your spiritual journeys.

This is a fabulous month to explore, expand and fine tune your spiritual practices on a daily level. Commit yourself to these activities, mark them on a calendar as you would mark your salon or dentist or other appointments that you cannot afford to miss.

This necessity for discipline and to commitment to your spiritual practices will also be emphasised by Saturn in Sagittarius.

Saturn is a very serious, practical, grounded, organised, conservative old man with no time for frivolity or leaps of the imagination or vision quests, sky diving or bungee jumping or such foolish risky activities which are an integral part of the Sagittarius fabric.

So the old man is dressed in clothes he is not comfortable in and so where you have Sagittarius in your chart, you’ll be asked to give form and structure to your vision and make it real, take risks in activities that are product and can bring solid results.

Saturn will give gravitas and a feeling of authority to sagittarius and in turn this sign just may help the god to loosen up a bit. It could end up being a potentially very fruitful phase.

Also look at where you were and what was happening the last time saturn was in Sagittarius from end 1985—mid 1988..or see what was happening with your parents. That’s the cycle that has come to an end now and a new one is beginning.

Venus in Leo brings up relationship and money issues especially your sense of worthiness and deserving of.

Mercury retrograde in Libra also emphasizes relationship issues and that of balancing parts of your life—like the time you give yourself vs family etc. If the solar eclipse shakes you up, the Mercury period will help you revisit old territory and see where lies the source of the problems.

The Lunar Eclipse in Aries will light up your willingness or resistance to taking charge of your own life, to being first in the queue, to not being afraid to speak for yourself.

On the 11th of October is a nicely intense and very grounding Jupiter trine to Pluto. In myth, Jupiter and Pluto were brothers and rarely met and although Jupiter, the god of heavens was the boss of all, he was scared of his Lord of the underworld brother Pluto. So this friendly meeting over tea is to discuss some practical issues about guiding humans sort to out their material, physical goals and plans.

You, as human, are welcome to eavesdrop.

In the meanwhile, have a great month.

Be blessed and take care.
