Full Moon in July 2012

Hello Everyone,

Friend Jags from Mumbai, spouse and I are back in lovely London after a week driving through the magnificent Highlands of Scotland (remember Braveheart). All very deeply nurturing despite the constant drizzle and overcast skies. I also love the Scottish people–something about them.

So am not sure why my heart feels heavy today–maybe it was reading about how the poor girl Katie is worried Tom Cruise will drag their daughter into the world of Scientology–really, isn’t it the creepiest kind of cult!

The utterly adorable Rajesh Khanna sick and Dimple by his side despite their being separated for years. (And she lost her sister to cancer as well).

And so on and on and all of it reminding me of how fragile we really, truly are. I think I would like to blame this mood on the full moon.

It’s on the 4th of July, in Cancer Capricorn (the Sun is in Cancer and Moon is in the opposite sign, Capricorn)–this axis always reminds me of the Nehru-Gandhi family where virtually every single member of the family has the axis in a very prominent position (see article in astrology section here).

Cancer is all about family, home, feelings, food, etc. and Capricorn is about priority, status, duty, authority, rules etc.

Both aspects seem to already be surfacing in our lives and will continue through this coming month asking us to define who is our family, who is the authority in your life, your values, your priorities.

Let’s see what the universe has to tell us through the Tarot spread.

As usual, my question to the Universe and all our guides is, what is being revealed to us on this full moon, on all levels–the physical and material, the emotional, mental, spiritual and a special message from our High Self.

These are the cards that came up:

Physical/Material level–Guidance
Emotional level—Control
Mental level–Creativity
Spiritual level —Thunderbolt
Message from High Self–Flowering
Guidance comes to each one of us from our own inner, individual Guide. Most new age types can’t get out of bed without a discussion with Him/Her but I find mine to be very elusive and half the time when He whispers in my ears, I think I should get a second opinion. In other words, I have a hard time trusting he is there exclusively for me and has my best interest at heart.

What then sort of convinces me he is around, is when I think of all the various points in my life when I could so easily have chosen the other option and for ‘unknown’ reasons chose the one I did, which in the long run turned out to be the Best thing for me. (You can do a scan of key points in your life and verify for yourself).

I usually follow the principle, ‘When in doubt, mumble”–in other words if something doesn’t feel right, just don’t do it–no matter how irrational your behaviour seems. That feeling of ‘not right’ is coming from the Guide.

So in the coming weeks perhaps you will be in situations that will put you through a dilemma and you will get to experience your guides’ MO.

The second card, Control is a message for the Emotional realm. I think this card is about being a bit more discriminating about how and to whom you express your feelings. If you are like a Glucose biscuit which dissolves at the first dunk, you need to suck it up a bit (notice the pun, he he). If you are the other extreme, you need to let go.

But there are also subtle ways in which we get controlled by our feelings–as in the “heavy heart”, the bad mood, the feeling low and instead of wallowing in these feelings we can take action that pulls us out of these moods.

The Third card, Creativity, is quite a misunderstood word. Most people associate it with the arts or music and therefore believe, being talented in these fields is crucial to being creative. Not so. The 5th house in the astrological chart, is ruled by the Sun which is associated with creativity.

The allusion here is, to create truly, you need to use your Sun, the source of your being. E.g if you paint and lose yourself when doing it and feel strangely soothed in the process, you are being creative. The outcome of your efforts may be deemed rubbishy by most standards but that is entirely irrelevant. When being truly creative, you are not worrying about an audience.

So with anything you do which gives you a deep sense of satisfaction–playing golf, carpentry, photography, collecting rocks, writing newsletters etc etc–you are being creative. You notice that in each of these activities you are a key, active originator and mover–so watching a movie, no matter how satisfying, is not being creative!

Being creative is necessary to give expression to that which is unique within you. (If enough people appreciate what you express, you become successful and famous).

So in the coming weeks you will get opportunities to explore and work this realm. Or you need to explore and figure out what being creativity means for you.

The 4th card, of spirituality, the Thunderbolt, seems a bit scary really. A man and woman seem to be falling out of a collapsing tower which has been hit by lightning. So dramatic events or situations could jiggle your belief system and your faith. But if you can take some distance from the event, witness it without making judgments or feeling victimized, perhaps you will glean the message that it brings. (Or you can feel bad for a while and then worry about the message)!

The 5th card, Flowering, is a direct message from your Guide. The card shows a voluptuous woman seated on a lotus enjoying music, lots of colors–perhaps she is your muse who is flinging about seeds of creativity without worrying where they fall–again repeating the message of the previous card–to play, to have fun, to enjoy yourself and who knows, something of great value may emerge from that.

Don’t worry about who thinks and says what and what you should or ought to do. Just for a month go with what your heart wants. (Your guide often speaks through the heart).

In the meanwhile, Shukran Allah and much love,

Neo

PS: The heaviness from heart is now gone. 🙂 )
