“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”
Now that I’ve returned from the swamplands of my soul after a five year long sojourn—no, not a good destination— I’m thinking of resuming my Free! monthly newsletter , updating all you mostly lovely folks on the astrological weather every month along with my occasional deep insights and self-help techniques.
So this New Moon today, 25th august, in 2 degrees of Virgo is ...Read more →
The debate on fate vs freewill has gone on since man learned to walk on his two feet, especially by scientists, philosophers, psychologists and astrologers. So I really wanted to compose a well-organised, lucid and conclusive analysis of this horribly complicated subject. What emerged was more a flow chart of various random thoughts.
As an astrologer I have brooded over this quandary for 20 years and come up with a fuzzy, easily-challenged, barely-workable concept of what to tell my clients when ...Read more →
Until a few years ago energy was thought of as interchangeable with matter. Now, new research in quantum physics tells us that matter is energy. There are dozens of new healing modalities emerging virtually every day and most of them involve working with energy.
Pranic healing, chakra cleansing, energy psychology (formerly known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique), Reiki, Quantum jumping (or something to that effect), all forms of meridian therapies including acupressure, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Qi Gong and acupuncture etc. ...Read more →
I am feeling tentatively excited about this full moon on the 31st because I think it’ll be a month of super healing–and who can’t do with some, right?!
I have solid evidence (well, the tarot and astrology combined with my own intuition) that suggests we need to take this opportunity and try to help ourselves as well–and not just count on God to do it. If by next month you are not feeling much better, you can quite rightfully go ...Read more →
The Nehru-Gandhi family story reminds one of Greek myths, of family curses. Like the Kennedy’s in America, the Royal family in England, the Nehru-Gandhi’s are the Greeks of our times. The Nehru-Gandhi name is synonymous with power in India. Much like the Kennedy’s were, the Gandhi family was and to some extent still is the First family in India. Generation after generation, the family has been allied with political power, with wealth, status and with tragedy.
Was there, is there, a ...Read more →
Friend Jags from Mumbai, spouse and I are back in lovely London after a week driving through the magnificent Highlands of Scotland (remember Braveheart). All very deeply nurturing despite the constant drizzle and overcast skies. I also love the Scottish people–something about them.
So am not sure why my heart feels heavy today–maybe it was reading about how the poor girl Katie is worried Tom Cruise will drag their daughter into the world of Scientology–really, isn’t it the creepiest kind ...Read more →
It’s 2:17 am and the moon is full and silver and translucent in the charcoal sky, right above Hampstead! And here I am increasingly indifferent to my insomnia, doing all manner of things in the quiet night including munching on buttered popcorn as I type this.
I’ve been glued to the TV and now feel overdosed on the butterfly and 50 metres and what not. Before the opening we here were warned everyday about how jolly busy it was ...Read more →
Analysing charts of celebrities along with their biographies is one of the best ways to learn or teach astrology. So although this is not going to be a thorough detailed analysis, it could be interesting for both the layperson and for those studying astrology. I’m a Psychological Astrologer Western method–which is different from Vedic astrology.
(The reason I’ve chosen Sonu’s chart is, apart from the fact that I think he is a very good singer/musician, we met at Brussels airport last ...Read more →
